If you are like me and have a lot of alphabets in chipboard and sticker form or stamps or even rub-ons then you would enjoy the Ali Edwards class I have been taking. Taking classes, for me, really gets me scrapbooking again and telling some of those longer stories.
I think the registration for the class is closed at this point (we are in week 7) but I know she plans to offer it again. Another class she is offering is Hello Story. This one is totally self-paced and man did I love it when I took it a couple years back through Big Picture Classes.
Here is the latest layout I made for TYPE:
As you can see, it is all about the photos and the story. Simple, classic, love it!
Here is a fun layout of my precious granddaughter, Eva Joy, at 5 months:
So fun to do using all those different alphabets. Love the way some of them go off the page. It was kind of like putting together a jig-saw puzzle. Not as easy as it looks, perhaps. But I like how it came out.
You may notice that the above layout is 8.5 x 11. One of the things I am doing this year is mixing up my layout sizes in one album. I’m really liking how this looks and frees me up to be more creative. In addition to 12 x 12 and 8.5 x 11 I’ve also got some 6 x 12. These are great for adding a few extra photos and a little more story.
Here’s to classes and more layouts and telling our stories!
