The Blues — Marjorie Towers

The Blues

in Scrapbooking

no paper

I laughed when I saw this quote. I saved it to my desktop.

Little did I know that in a few short days it would be my life.

I was trying to put together layouts for an upcoming scrapbook weekend in Puyallup, WA, at Scrapbook Expo. And it seemed every layout needed blue paper and none of the blue paper I had was the right color of blue. And I have a lot more than 20 sheets of blue. More like 20 x 20 sheets of blue. Two of the layouts were pool parties. It seems the color of my parent’s pool is unique. Then there was the layout with the balloons. Blue sky. Simple enough. Not for me. I needed two sheets the same color and I only had one. So I compromised and tried some creative options. I could see sprays in my future. I put together the layout kits and moved on.

When I got my Snapfish order in the mail with more photos I thought, “Surely Christmas photos will not be hard to match.” Wrong! Again, everyone was wearing blue! Who would have thought blue would be my nemesis? I really like the color blue. Maybe there’s a reason they call it “the blues.”

Stay tuned for the layouts I will be making using mismatched blue papers….

Every time I go shopping here for supplies I am so disappointed with what’s available. Not just supplies, but classes too. I don’t find anyone doing what I was doing at CLM. Very sad about that. Miss all you guys so much.
