in Design Team, Jacki

This beautiful layout was created by Design Team member Jacki Rettke. I thought the colors gave it a nice fall look.

oct blog

Here are her instructions for making this page yourself:

Products used:

Reminisce Autumn Harvest papers

Bo-Bunny Autumn Song Melody papers

Heartfelt Creations Distressed Leaves Precut Stamp Set

Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Leaves die set

Twinkling H2Os in Indian Copper, Olive Vine and Lemondrop

water brush

watercolor paper

Ranger Library Green Archival Ink

Ranger Adirondack Butterscotch spray

Dylusions sprays: Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine and Sweetened Orange

Prima Lyric flowers

heat tool

Cuttlebug die cutting machine

glue dots

tape runner

dimensional adhesive

1. Using watercolor paper, stamp the second largest of the Heartfelt Creation leaf stamps with the green archival ink, six times.

2. Using the Twinkling H2Os and water brush, color the leaves as desired

3. Heat leaves to speed dry time

4. Cut colored leaves with Spellbinders Shapeablilites matching leaf die using the Cuttlebug.

5. With remaining watercolor paper spray with Dylusions spray in shades of yellow and orange, misting with water to blend more. Heat with heat tool. Spray additional layers of color with Ranger Butterscotch spray, adding more or less as you like, heat to set.

6. Cut 13 of the large size tall, slender leaves from the Spellbinders Nested Leaves set. Cut 28 of the same shaped leaves in the smaller size also.

7. Trim Bo-Bunny Autumn Song Melody paper to 11 inch square. Distress and ink edges. Center on Reminisce Autumn Harvest paper.

8. Make flowers using the large die cut leaves, folding some forward and some back for dimension. I used seven petals for one flower, eight for the other.

9. Using dimensional adhesive, tuck three of the stamped leaves behind large flower.

10. Using the small petals, form a center for larger flower, again one of mine has six petals the other seven. The remaining petals are scattered over the pages as falling leaves.

11. Attach Prima flowers to center of flower.

12. Add photos and title

Here are a few close up photos so you can really see the design details and the great photos.

Love this photo because you even see the goldfish in the pond. The cat who is watching that little fish so closely is named Tucker.

Tucker’s twin sister Lindsley is peeking around the rock.

Hopefully Jacki will teach this layout in her Saturday morning scrapbooking class, The Creative Page. Thanks for a great layout, Jacki.
