Ruth Moody is a long time volunteer at Creating Lasting Memories. In addition to working at the store on Wednesdays, she taught a beginning scrapbook class called Scrappin’ Wednesday for years.  These days you will find her at her “real” job as office manager at KURY radio. And she still runs the Friday night crop at Creating Lasting Memories.

Ruth began scrapbooking years ago when her first grandchild died of SIDS. It was a way to document and honor his life and share what he had meant to her. She has three other grandchildren that often are the subject of her layouts, in addition to her grown daughter and son and their spouses.  Like Jacki, she loves cats and you will see one of them in the layout below.

Ruth loves simple pages that focus on the photos and the journaling. She has a great sense of design and color.

Here is her layout that she designed for the challenge using the Prima Hello Pastel designer papers and embellishments:

To make this layout Ruth used one sheet of Bazzill Butter Cream, and one sheet each of the Hello Pastel Cupcake, Powdered Petals and Sugar Cube papers.

Mat photos and attach as shown.

Punch 3 photos into 3″ circles and attach to 4″ doilies.  Here’s a close-up of a doily (and one adorable cat!):

For embellishments, she added the spray of flowers as shown and some brads to her journaling block.

She also cut 4 small strips and made banner tabs, each with a brad. She attached two to the top left and two to the bottom right.

Finally, she added a bit of ribbon to the flower spray.  The flowers and brads are from the Prima Hello Pastel collection. She edged her mats with Versamagic Aspen Mist chalk ink.  Beautiful job Ruth.

For a favorite layout, she submitted this one:

Isn’t that a great layout for Father’s Day?

I appreciate all Ruth does to support Creating Lasting Memories.  Keep watching for more of her wonderful layouts.
