Introducing MaryRuth Willard

in Design Team, MaryRuth

MaryRuth is the other “valley girl” on our Design Team. She lives in Grants Pass, Oregon. She loves paper crafting and especially enjoys a challenge. She says crafting is a part of her soul and hopes her projects will bring a smile or some comfort to others.

She submitted several ATCs and unique cards for her challenge projects using the Prima Hello Pastel collection.

Here are the instructions for her birdcage card;

  1. Cut grey floral paper to desired size.
  2. Fussy cut around some of the flowers. Layer to pink panel.
  3. Ink edges with pink ink.
  4. Layer to an aqua side-folded card.
  5. Cut birdcage and bird from Spellbinders dies, using white for the birdcage, pink for the bird and aqua for the bird’s wing.
  6. Assemble bird and glue to card front.
  7. Attach birdcage with foam mounting tape.
  8. Fussy cut flowers from grey floral paper. Attach with glue and some with foam mounting tape for dimension.
  9. Attach pink organza ribbon to top of birdcage.
  10. Adhere some rhinestones. Add music notes with white gel pen. A little stickles and you’re done!

Here are some of the other projects she submitted using the challenge papers:

For a favorite project, she submitted these three wooden houses all decked out for Christmas.  I just love them!

I will be looking forward to what MaryRuth comes up with for the Design Team.  I am feeling quite certain there will be a few smiles.
